Sessions on Sissoo can support your wellbeing through perimenopause and menopause, alongside the care from your doctor.

What people book

  • Menopause journey sessions: practitioners who focus on this stage of life.
  • Women’s circles: share the experience with other women.
  • Nutritional therapy: eating well through the change.
  • Yoga and hypnotherapy: keep moving gently and build restful habits.

How it works

Sessions take place online or in person, in your language. Each practitioner shows their price and next free time on the booking page. Some offer a free intro call, so you can ask questions first.

What the research says

Talk to a doctor, nurse or pharmacist first. HRT is the main treatment. CBT, a talking therapy, can help with hot flushes, sleep and mood. Exercise, a cool bedroom and less caffeine and alcohol can help too. NHS, 2026 · NICE, 2024

  • Yoga: may ease some symptoms, about as much as other exercise. Some evidence it may help · NCCIH, 2023
  • Hypnotherapy: studies found fewer hot flushes, and a US menopause society recommends it. Some evidence it may help · The Menopause Society, 2023 · NCCIH, 2020
  • Mindfulness and relaxation: early studies found hot flushes felt less bothersome, but careful studies found slow breathing did not reduce them. Limited evidence · NCCIH, 2017 · The Menopause Society, 2023
  • Herbal and plant remedies: results for black cohosh, soy and red clover are mixed, and products vary. Black cohosh has rarely been linked to liver damage. Limited evidence · NCCIH, 2024 · Cochrane, 2013
  • Women’s circles: talking with others going through the same thing is something the NHS suggests. Circles themselves have not been studied. No good evidence yet · NHS, 2026
  • Massage, aromatherapy, Reiki and sound sessions: not studied for menopause symptoms. No good evidence yet · NCCIH, 2021

When to talk to a doctor

Talk to your doctor about your symptoms and treatment options, such as HRT. If you take any medication or HRT, check with your doctor or pharmacist before trying herbal products. See a doctor about any bleeding after 12 months without a period. Don’t stop or change any treatment without talking to your doctor.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
