Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a hands-on approach in which a registered chiropractor examines you, then uses quick, controlled pushes to the joints of your spine. Sessions often include stretches and advice on exercise. It was founded in the United States by D.D. Palmer in the 1890s, and in the UK chiropractors must be registered with the General Chiropractic Council. There is some evidence that spinal manipulation may ease low back pain a little, about as much as other care: see “Chiropractic: what the research says”.
