Acupuncture

Acupuncture comes from Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been practised for thousands of years. Acupuncturists aim to re-establish a good energy flow (Chi) along the different meridians that run throughout the body. They support people with all kinds of conditions – physical, mental and emotional. The healing system was largely introduced to the West in the early 1980s. In line with extensive research in energy medicine, Acupuncturists who work under the Traditional Chinese Medicine model consider diseases and ailments to be due to imbalances of energy within the body. Acupuncturists make specific diagnoses and work on certain energy points along these meridians using needles, acupressure or mochsa combustion to re-establish a more balanced energy flow throughout the body.
