Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is slow-paced style of yoga which incorporates principles of traditional Chinese medicine, with postures (asanas) that are held for longer periods of time than in other forms of yoga. Advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more. In comparison, high impact 'yang' type yoga styles focus on contracting and engaging muscles. Yin Yoga aims to engage your deep connective tissues, fascia, ligaments, joints and bones. Slow and meditative, this form of yoga gives you space to turn inwards and tune into the physical and energetic sensations of both your body and your mind.
