Transactional Analysis

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a talking therapy that looks at how you communicate with others and the patterns you repeat. With the therapist, you explore past decisions and the ‘parent’, ‘adult’ and ‘child’ sides of yourself, so you can change patterns that hold you back. It was developed by Eric Berne in the 1950s. There is no good evidence yet that Transactional Analysis helps with health needs: see “Transactional Analysis: what the research says”.
