Integrative Counselling

Integrative counselling is a talking therapy that combines ideas and techniques from more than one type of therapy, shaped around you. The counsellor draws on different approaches as your needs change, rather than following a single method. It is based on the view that no one approach suits every person in every situation. Integrative counselling has not been studied as one method, so ask which methods your counsellor uses; some, such as CBT, have good evidence: see “Integrative counselling: what the research says”.
