Frequency Specific Microcurrent Therapy (FSMT)
Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) is a session in which a device sends a very low electrical current into your body through soft pads or gloves. You lie or sit comfortably while the practitioner chooses the settings (frequencies), and most people feel little or nothing. Practitioners believe specific frequencies act on specific tissues, but this has not been tested, and small studies of microcurrent found only limited, short-term pain relief: see “Frequency Specific Microcurrent: what the research says”. If you have a pacemaker or other electronic implant, have epilepsy or are expecting a baby, check with your doctor first.
