Dance Movement Therapy

Dance movement therapy is a creative therapy in which you use movement and dance, with a trained therapist, to explore your feelings. You move freely or follow simple prompts, then talk about what came up; in the UK it is called dance movement psychotherapy. It is based on the idea that body, mind and emotions are linked. There is limited evidence it may ease low mood and anxiety: see “Dance movement therapy: what the research says”.
