Menopause support sessions like circles, talks and coaching have not been studied yet. Your GP can explain the options with good evidence.
What a session is
Sessions that support you through perimenopause and menopause, such as a supportive conversation, a circle with other women, coaching or a gentle massage, depending on the practitioner.
What the research says
- Feeling less alone: The NHS suggests talking with others going through the same thing. Menopause circles and talks themselves have not been studied. No good evidence yet · NHS, 2026 · Santé.fr, 2026 · WHO, 2024
- Menopause symptoms: There are no good studies of circles, talks, coaching or massage for menopause symptoms. CBT, a different talking therapy, can help with hot flushes. No good evidence yet · NCCIH, 2021 · NHS, 2026
- Low mood, worry and sleep: These sessions have not been studied for this. In menopause, CBT, a talking therapy, can help with low mood, worry and sleep. No good evidence yet · NHS, 2026
- Stress, grief and muscle tension: Not studied in the sources we use. No good evidence yet
More on each need: Menopause wellbeing · Lift your mood · Feel calmer · Sleep better · Handle stress better · Grief and loss · A relaxed body
